“Pleasure” by Formation – A Song Review

Originally, our favorite feature of the song “Pleasure” was the vocals/guitar “jump in, jump out” sequencing near the beginning of the song. Initially, the vocals have the spotlight, but the reverb guitar (tremolo?) temporarily replaces the vocals at 0:19. The guitar stops precisely upon the return of the vocals. The sequence repeats.
Now, we’re partial to the percussion, particularly after the song reaches 2:30. The strong bassline plays a major role, but the textured percussion breathes the live into this track by Formation. Almost certainly, multiple cowbells are involved.

Formation is a London band that includes twin brothers. The Facebook page of the band identifies the members as Will Ritson, Matt Ritson, Jonny Tams, Sasha Lewis and Kai Akinde-Hummel.
