In a year that has to be considered the arrival party of the trumpet in Indie songs, it is difficult to edge into the top ten of trumpet-containing Indie songs. But Khushi may have accomplished that feat with the song “Magpie.” The song was released this month. The only aspect that holds the song back from making this particular “Top Ten List” is that fact that the trumpet sound doesn’t enter until the 2:15 mark in the song.
Khushi is the performance moniker of Kalim Patel, a London-based artist.
