The members of The Reflections are Darian Zahedi, Brady Wills and Jon Safley. This is yet another Los Angelesband that deserves attention.
“Disconnected” begins with far-away haunt vocals, but the guitar work is the feature that establishes the song as a recommended listen, even if it were not a free download. We particularly enjoy the cooperation between the drums and guitar starting at the 2:55 mark.

“A Violent Sky” is a release from Apparat, the performance name of Berlin-based musician Sascha Ring. Although the song is indeed based on electronica, it is something of a departure from older Apparat songs (such as “Black Water” or “Black Veil”). “A Violent Sky” is a track from an album (Krieg und Frieden) that is an adaptation of Tolstoy’s War and Peace. Pretty artsy stuff.
